DING bicycle light ground beam concept simulation

Suggests in high contrast situations, the high contrast ground beam (~1.2m) is more distinguishable than the broad riding headlight reflecting off the road, and a larger footprint than the blinking red LED tail light (Serfas/Moon LED bar type).

I would consider it an arrow in a quiver for safety, rather than any single safety aspect being the silver bullet.

The DING would do a better job and replace the left mounted/downward pointed Philips SafeRide 270lm urban light, and partially replace the Cygolite Expilion 350 at centre of handlebar.

The bad AA cell in the Philips meant 5-10min run time.
